These little beauties will ensure you never see jalapeno poppers the same way again. Everyone loved the crispy bacon around tender peppers full of juicy sausage and creamy cheese. If you don’t like jalapenos, you can substitute mini bell peppers (but trust me, you’ll want to use jalapenos).
Ingredients:
- 6 jalapenos (or pepper of choice)
1/2 cup cream cheese
- 1/2 lb ground sausage
- 12 slices bacon
Directions:
- Cut jalapenos in half and remove the stem and seeds
- Spread cream cheese on the inside of each pepper half
- Press a small ball of sausage (enough to fill the pepper) into each half
- Wrap a slice of bacon around each pepper half to hold the filling in, then skewer
- Grill over medium heat until the sausage is cooked through and the bacon is crispy
